| KAJOLA MOREWOOD I was born in Montreal to an Inuit woman and adopted into a white
family. My parents gave me an Inuit name in an effort to recognize the culture from which
I came.
The photographs I am currently working on relate to 50's
white culture. The project stems out of a recipe book that my grandmother had from the
time she got married. It is, I suppose, a commentary on the place of women in the home. Or
maybe I just like to bake.
