Laura A. Marsden is an Ojibway/Anishinaabe fine artist and writer from the Mississaugas of Scugog Island and Mnjikaning First Nations, Ontario, Canada. Self-educated, Ms. Marsden began serious watercolour painting in 1990 and introduces unique aboriginal style of symbolic and motivational technique. With compositions of bright watercolours in abstract design, her ‘dreamworks’ become artifacts of distinction painted ‘from the inside out.’ ‘When I see the full moon, I don’t just see the moon, I sense the majesty, the season, the geography and the event. I understand that the grandfathers and grandmothers are dancing a song or telling a story and then I watch and listen. Miigwech, Nmishoomis.’
